Pink Cheetah Nail Design

This pink cheetah nail design is really easy and pretty for summer :)

1. Start out by applying a base coat on all nails.
2. Make a rough white tip on nails, one at a time, and while its still wet take a makeup sponge and go over the tip to blend out the edges.
3. Take a shimmery white color, I used "My Private Palace" from Jessie's Girl JulieG collection and it worked perfectly! I blended out the white tip and had the shimmer on both the white and the base of the nail. (As a side note I love this color! It's so pretty in lots of nail looks and just over lots of different polishes. I'm pretty sure you can get her collection at Rite Aids and Walgreens, but I got mine at IMATS. I highly recommend this color though!!)
4. Next, take a pink, or any bright color, and make small circular blotches on on the white. I used OPI "Kiss Me On My Tulips". Don't make the pink blotches to orderly or in any type of pattern, the randomness is what makes it look better.
5. Taking a toothpick and black nail polish, make small semi circles around the pink. Also make some small black blotches where it looks too empty.
6. Wait for all nails to dry and then apply a topcoat.

These AMAZING photos were taken by my friend Akshay! Her photography skills are cray!

Go to her blog, http://openeyesopenlens.wordpress.com/ to see more of her insane photos!! And ones that are a little bit more artistic and interesting then nails, even though personally I can't think of anything as fun to look at as nail art but I'm pretty sure it's just me...so GO CHECK HER BLOG!! :D

Ombre and Animal Print Nail Design

This is a fun design I did for summer.

1. Start out by applying one coat of white nail polish to all nails.
2. Then choose three colors, and apply them onto a makeup sponge wedge in rows.
3. Sponge the colors on to create the ombre effect.
4. Apply a topcoat before all of the nails completely dry to help blend them together.
5. Once dry, take a tooth pick with black nail polish, and carefully draw on the animal print. Make zebra stripes in some places and cheetah spots in others.
6. Wait for the nails to dry, and then apply a top coat to all of the nails.
